As of 27th February 2012 GCRYPT, a UK company that specialises in providing encryption software, has been confirmed as a Government approved G-Cloud supplier

The acceptance to the G-Cloud means that GCRYPT’s underlying SSLPost SaaS services: email encryption, and digital signing, together with Litera’s Metadata cleaning services have been pre-approved as services that can be used by any public sector organisation.
G-Cloud is the UK Government’s programme to adopt cloud-based services, covering the processes of buying, managing and using cloud services. This represents a change in the way that the government works with suppliers.

The aims of G-Cloud are to collate a range of the best industry IT services and solutions available off the shelf so the government, its agencies and related bodies can use what it needs when it needs it and not create duplicate services that cannot be shared.

Michael Alculumbre, CEO of GCRYPT said
“This is a great opportunity for our business. It’s a real endorsement to the products and services that we provide and validates the work that we are already carrying out with a number of public sector organisations. We are already seeing a considerable uplift in interest in our cloud-based solutions so
this should make the process of procurement that much easier for our customers and ourselves”

About the SaaS solutions

Encryption as a service

Ability to send any document or email encrypted to a recipient without the recipient requiring special software to do so. SSLPost can be integrated into any corporate mail server and provides sophisticated encryption and audit logging of emails and documents. SSLPost is currently used by government councils to securely deliver payslips saving money and the environment.

Signing as a service

SSLPost E-signing allows a digital certificate as defined by ETSI 101 456 to be applied to document as part of either an Email exchange (SSLPost) or as a cloud based web service that is fully compatible with EU legislation EC/1999/93 E-signature directive. 2 factor authentication and direct integration to QuoVadis Certificate Authority are available.

Metadact-E provides a method as part of an email conversation to automatically remove TRACKED Changes or other similar Meta-data that exists in a range of document formats. Metadact-E will protect any Government department from accidently leaving in changes that should not be distributed.

GCRYPT is a SAP and Sage accredited software developer that provides secure encrypted and recorded delivery of email, emails with document attachments and secure portal solutions for storing and retrieving output documents
from any third party software.

GCRYPT’s patented encryption software has been engineered to meet the critical and exacting demands of its users whilst providing encryption software that is both easy to implement and use.

As an organisation they meet the highest levels of security testing and are ISO27001 accredited.
