Subject: How high a priority do you put on improving steam boiler plant efficiency? - by: Andrew Robinson
There are several ways to improve steam system efficiency, such as:
  • Alternative boiler fuels and technologies
  • Heat transfer optimisation
  • Waste heat recovery and energy balancing
  • Condensate recovery
  • Effective steam trapping
  • Water treatment

But in today’s difficult economic climate, when many capital budgets are severely restricted, what are the challenges you face in improving steam boiler plant performance?]]>

I just can't get me head round that the heritage trust can stop this when it is our mission to reduce our Carbon footprint, save money on our heavy use of electricity and help a small business in putting the panels on the roof during a recession. No one on the Council objected

We are now leading the way in the RFCA on Solar and have a 31.92 kw system in Yoxter up on the Cheddar Gorge now in its 4th Month and saved 10,000 on Carbon and produced 15,000 kw’s.

We are going to appeal but any suggestions on the best way for this would be gratefully received.]]>
