TOPIC: Exploration is wrong

Exploration is wrong 3 months, 1 week ago #1

Whilst I agree we do still require hydrocarbons, the exploration and extraction process needs reviewing. Firstly it would make sense to use technology to see whats underground like 3D seismic surveying rather than relying on 2D surveys conducted 20 years plus, you've seen how the mobile phone has changed over twenty years.

3D surveying would not require thousands of protesters and police hours. It would provide conclusive desk-based evidence that could be acted on rather than hundreds of drill sites across the country.

Whilst this surveying is carried out the technical people can work on ways to extract the gas in a safer, risk free manner.

We live on an island with finite resources one of these being water.

Lets look at alternative ways to find and extract, the protesters have a point and with out them I wouldn't have know hence I have taken the time to write this.
