Government needs to get a grip, sit down and broker a deal between farmers and dairies to avoid a milk blockade

Mary Creagh MP, Labour's Shadow Environment Secretary, responding to the latest protests by dairy farmers, said:

"The Government needs to get a grip, sit down and broker a deal between farmers and dairies to avoid a milk blockade threatening the nation's milk supply. This crisis in the dairy sector will only be solved by negotiation or the Government imposing contracts which guarantee a fair price for farmers."
