The first module of a new e-learning course on energy management, which is currently being developed by the Energy Institute (EI), is now available free of charge. The full course will be released in July

E-learning has surged in popularity over the last few years and the EI has developed this course to offer a flexible approach to the training needs of anyone working in this sector.

The course is interactive and provides a series of practical questions and scenarios for learners to engage with. This free module covers the role of an energy manager, developing an energy policy and investment in energy efficiency including calculating payback periods. The syllabus uses case studies and helps individuals to create action points they can take forward on completion of the module.

The EI has over twenty years' experience of working in the energy management field and supporting this ever-growing sector. The online course builds on the EI's current training programme and has been written by qualified energy management practitioners and EI members.
