The UK jobs market saw record growth in February, Reed's latest job index has shown, indicating that more career development opportunities may be on the cards for the country's workers.
February saw more than 12 per cent month-on-month growth when it came to new job opportunities, which is the highest monthly surge ever seen.
Thirty-one of the 33 sectors looked at enjoyed a stronger month than they did in January, it was found. Furthermore, six out of ten sectors grew by more than ten per cent month-on-month.
The highest growth was seen in the charity and voluntary (66 per cent), social care (45 per cent) and education (41 per cent) sectors.
This trend seemed to be reflected nation-wide, as every region was stronger in February than it was the previous month.
Managing director of Reed Martin Warnes, commented: "The vast majority of sectors and regions are consistently offering more opportunities and we enter the busy spring recruitment period with some optimism."
