Grass Surfaces in the Urban Environment

Posted by Tim Lodge, Director, Agrostis Turf Consultancy Ltd

Last year I attended a one day conference of landscape architects, urban designers and planners organised by RUDI.  I was horrified to hear grassed areas described by one of the speakers as ‘green deserts'. I had to spring to the defence of turf which is the basis of all of Agrostis Turf Consultancy's business. This misconception has to be nipped in the bud.
