Enfield Crime Reduction Implementation Team (ECRIT) has won the London Compact Award for Innovation.  These awards celebrate strong working relationships between the voluntary and public sectors in London, and were presented at a reception at City Hall on 6 November 2008.  The awards are part of the National Compact Week and were hosted by the Greater London Authority, a leading member of the London Compact formed in 2003.  The Compact is an agreement between regional and central Government and the voluntary and community sector to work together to bring greater benefits to local communities.

A social enterprise that provides care services for the elderly has come out on top and been named the country’s best new business.
